yayness im so happy.. for the first time in 7 weeks i actually did my stats hw properly. aka write the answers out on paper. XD and in 30 mins. hahaha... accomplished!!! hehe.
for some reason, i felt totally moody and sleepy while doing stats, but now that ive finished; i feel more alert and happy.. hahaaa... XD
i'm enjoying this freedom... supposed to be busy; but i know that there's still this space in time which allows me to enjoy what im doing... what im studying. to relish the company of the class; the laughter, the joy which studying is supposed to bring. i find that im spacing out more.... to think; to contemplate. my life isnt being crowded out by the weeds of mugging; not yet anyways. or rather, i have not seen the need to mug yet. maybe i will quite soon... exams are right after june hols.
itab kills. itab=IT applications in business. *looks at jul* yes jul i know you're well-versed in excel, haha. PMT, IMPT, PPMT, FV... unfamiliar to me now... i guess it just takes time. today's lesson was awesome. i was laughing like crazy. cze the class was having a mass conversation while he was teaching. and really, almost no one was listening to him. hahah. neither was i. cze macros are not tested. lolx. just... brain fried from so many itab lessons. 0.o
hm... i like the sp graduation robe... =D hahaha. cause now is graduation period for the grads, so almost everywhere we see pics of the robe... haha..

mistakes; i wonder. isnt it hard to get up after we hv fallen... quote from spiderman3 'do the hardest thing first; forgive yourself'. makes so much sense.. the hardest thing is not to say sorry... it's to forgive myself. then move on.... correct those mistakes. but... to be reminded almost daily about them... through contact w a friend... isnt that... hard... for some friends, i dont feel like i make mistakes all the time.. but for others... somehow, i feel so.
i guess holiday isnt holiday for the jc peeps.... i had e learning wk last wk liao... considered some sort of a holiday i guess. 9 june is my hols. and only 2 wks. then exams.

another entire day facing the laptop... this thing's gonna be my teacher for nearly the whole of next wk. hm... i find that i have more time to do more things; learning from home... cuts away nearly 3 hours of transport per day and travelling time to and from tutorial rooms. then meals in school take nearly 1 hour... considering we talk while we eat and lining up for food... sheesh.. studying from home is so much better in terms of saving time.. but after a while it gets really really boring.. =x
thursday going vivo for IDEA... then still got ITAB pbl.. and a whole lot of quizzes for elearning. eek.
read an article yesterday on how more and more japanese are literally working themselves to death.. more and more stress related sicknesses and heart attacks. which makes me wonder.. why are we studying so hard... haha... a poly student saying this.. hahaha.. when i think the pple in jc are more qualified to rant their minds out. XD
why are we working so hard... why does the curriculum seem to be trying to stuff info into our minds as if we were mindless robots... i dunno.. sometimes, i just wonder... what's the use of all these. then when you die, your brain rots in the grave. 0.o hahahaha.
what's more important than chasing grades? hm.. i gave up chasing grades long ago... now just doing my best in whatever's given to me. no expectations; it's happened too often that my expectations will never be met; and what i think is correct, may be dreadfully wrong. like in math; how you think that this is the right answer but then when the teacher explains it; you feel like finally the blinds have been taken off your eyes. ignorance kills. you think you're right; but then it turns out that you're wrong...
learn and learn..... learn till you're old..... correct your mistakes.... then find the right formula to get the right answers... it's a painstaking process which lasts a lifetime. i wonder why we're not tired of it...
at least tutorials are fun... at least i dont have so many lectures... at least..... i should be contented.
oh ya anyways. since im on the topic of studies. bernice, sy and i were discussing abt STUDIOUS-NESS ytd. bernice looks studious and IS studious. sy doesnt look studious but TRIES very very hard to look and be studious. me- looks studious but am NOT studious. muahaha.
then sy told me tt on thursday i chiong-ed off after IDEA... then may said that i chiong home to study?? hahahahaha. then sy was like 'NO! SHE DOESNT STUDY AT HOME!' but may wouldnt believe her. =D hahahaha. i chiong home is because 1) bus will be super crowded 2) traffic jam 3) i want to faster get home and sleep. XD yes, so rachel is not equals to studious. hahaha.
i think i slept too much.. woke up today with muscle aches on both my arms. thanks to carrying my laptop around for the whole day. or nearly the whole week.. then sleep too much.. now to neck ache.. hahahaha... then put the muscle cream... then now im BURNING UP. i feel like im evaporating. hahahaha.

went to tiong plaza challenger and funan to find a laptop case.. which wont rip a hole in my pocket.. but nearly all the good ones are like over $30. seriously i think they know tt im coming; so they purposely raise the price. ahhaa. cze whoever i ask, says that their laptop case price is abt $15. yeesh.

friday: student entrepreneurs rocked. love the seniors mannn. i so totally dont regret joining spse at all. =)

eunice n daniel finished exams liao; mine havent even started. and i think it's gonna be quite some time b4 exams start... after june hols. but ahz. we hv assessment every day lol. so the marks add up. the heavyweights are accounting, it applications in biz and econs, so far.

hm... let's see how today went.. econs lecture first thing at 9 this morning... sian as usual... give me the notes n i pretty much can understand what they want us to learn. but surprisingly when it comes to tutorials, im often at a loss... seems that understanding something doesnt mean knowing how to apply it.
oh, was given a copy of mypaper(chinese) near bishan mrt today... for the first time in donkey years, i finally read some words in chinese...haha... well, news, that is. and ive realised that ive lost touch with my chinese.. sigh... well, i still look for chinese song lyrics so still not that bad, but still... so many words i dunno how to read in the newspaper. sigh. so much better at english... but then that's over dependency on english, right? but sheesh, who can be good at two languages.. like, really good at them.. sigh..
then had mob.. i think it stands for management of behaviour. hahaha. i cant even rmb my modules. haha. not very good. some mistakes in presentation. blah. answers were not quite accurate... at this rate, my score needed for uni will very well fly out of the window...
then, IDEA.... we did something like a cooking competition for our performance... gave the 'taste' factor, something unique from the usual 'visual' and 'audio' factor in other performances. wish we could have gotten more marks thou... we put in alot of effort... apparently everyones's marks were the same... kinda exasperating... but oh, sigh. IDEA is such a lot of fun. always expect to enjoy myself during IDEA. partially because the class interacts with our tutor, so it really makes the lesson more fun and interesting.
5.30... still got accounts tutorial... cant believe tmr is friday, AGAIN... so amazingly FAST. i really cant believe it. time passes SO SO FAST. very soon it'll be holidays. oh sigh. my life is flying past me before i even take notice.
sigh. i wish life was easier. or that i knew the exact loopholes to avoid in presentations and answering questions so that i will not make mistakes. mistakes hurt... but what's life without mistakes? sigh. but still, i wish i had a perfect life..

then. econs tutorial. thou it was draggy, i still didnt sleep. woots. haha.
then. IT applications in business. hahahha. always be prepared to go into that 3 hour lesson coming out with a fizzled brain. hahahaha. continued with excel... at 3pm my brain was fried already. waking up at 7 and having lessons since morning..
then... discussed about IDEA presentation.... muahahahha.... we have a rawkin' performance... actually it's more of a fun performance than presentation.. but still requires planning.. oh well...
yeah so that's basically it for a day in poly life...thought it'd be interesting to let u guys know how poly is like.. a 9 to 5 day condensed into these few paragraphs.. =)

late for 10 mins for accounting lecture.. she didnt say anything today cze it was raining and more people were late. i took the bus.. cze i didnt want to take mrt and become a tuna.. packed into the carriages.. but oh well, i think i will take mrt from now on. wasnt really listening.. kinda distracted due to so many things going on... everything's just piling on top of each other. oral on monday, read up articles, collect itab cd by monday, accounting tutorial, elearning, tests, cca(entrepreneur) and so many more which i cannot think of. haha. once school starts, there's really no stopping..

today was an eye opener. zbrush presentation today. not satisfactory. we had to make a model thingy using this software. and present our model accompanied with an idea of what it can be used for. my idea was a substitute for antacids. something you can eat and it will absorb the acid. haha. i was complimented for the idea. but not the model. had spent 2 days on another idea and trying to make it look like the object in the picture, but it was harder than i thought. so i just cancelled the whole previous idea. and sian of zbrush, i just created something simple. but conjuring up fantasies abt what it could be used for was not so sian.
my thought was, it would be hard to come up with an idea for the object if i just explored the brushes and tools. so instead, my idea was highly complicated, but my model was simple. which is essentially how objects like red blood cells are anyways. complicated functions but simple in design. sheesh. dont they understand that. hurhur. so, in order to score high marks, the project has to be complicated in design and in idea?
before that. management of behaviour. aka mob. presentation. we used microsoft word instead of powerpoint. we didnt copy out and paste into powerpoint. that was the only thing. got points deducted from there. ohmygosh. points points points.
im seriously sore about today. was talking to ber abt how today went. thank goodness i met such a good friend in my class to relate to. =) jc eligible, all that jazz. we're seeing colours now. the real world. i cant really think of one day where we dont present SOMETHING. mob is forever presentations. so is effective communication. next wk, ec oral. next monday in fact. discuss professionally, the broad topic of global warming. in a group, find articles on tt and present a well structured discussion in front of the teacher, while being able to answer any questions that she presents. no singlish. that part's ok. EVERYTHING'S counted for GPA. which is kinda duh.
i know im making it all sound so sian-ish. but i still prefer all these to sec skl and jc work. everything has it's downside. and in my situation, the downside is not having to do so many presentations, my awesome class makes it a joy to do presentations in front of, but it's when you think you have done something which is worthy of appreciation and compliment from the teacher, and unfortunately, it is not the case.
whoever thought poly was easy, must have been seriously misled... im starting to feel the heat of it all.
two days of rest.. but.. im using them to do so many things.. today, finished my zbrush presentation finally... after like 10 hours of trial and error, i gave up, cleared everything and started a whole new concept. haaz. a moment of inspiration caused me to finish it in 2 hours.. hurhur..
i figure i will scratch student exchange off my list of wanted ccas.. too ex to go for trips while in poly. i think next time go on business trips and company pay lah. haha. so im left with student entrepreneur and possibly life arts. see how first..
